#HipHopHappyHour: New York Royale

WE can’t wait for tonight’s premiere of Growing Up Hip Hop: New York, and #HipHopHappyHour is back to help us celebrate! Things immediately kick off with a Gotti family secret that begins to spiral. Later on, Ja Rule’s kids suffer from Fyre Festival backlash, and things get tense when Da’Zyna realizes she must put her daddy issues with Flavor Flav aside for her brother Quan’s rap career. And, last but not least, Fat Joe and his son Ryan clash over Ryan’s music dreams. It’s a wild week in the Big Apple, so get to know this new cast of rap royalty while sipping on a “New York Royale”!

Recipe: New York Royale

  • 1 (750 ml) bottle dry sparkling wine or champagne, chilled
  • apple cider
  • Caramel sauce
  • Raw sugar
  • Fresh apple slices for garnish


Dip the rims of champagne flutes in caramel sauce and then in sugar. Add 2 to 3 tablespoons of apple cider to each flute. Then, fill the flutes with sparkling wine. Garnish with apple slices. Serve immediately.
